The Noble Street Charter School Board of Directors voted to open additional Noble Street campuses in 2005. The Noble Network was established then to manage the replication process and the resulting multi-campus Noble Street Charter School. Two Noble Street campuses have opened annually since 2006.

Noble Street was founded by Michael Milkie and Tonya Hernandez Milkie, in cooperation with Northwestern University Settlement Association, an organization that has been serving the West Town community for more than 110 years. Mr. Milkie is now superintendent of Noble Street Charter School.
